Located in the Sanford Sports Complex, Blue Rock Bar & Grill is the hub for what’s happening in sports and entertainment. But it doesn’t stop there. Our destination restaurant houses weekly entertainment, daily features and special events as well as a fine dining decadence in a casual atmosphere.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Supports the kitchen staff through cleaning and janitorial tasks such as washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, emptying trash receptacles, scrubbing floors, restocking items and other any other tasks that may be requested by the chef or managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the availability of clean dishes, silverware, pots, pans and glassware needed for the daily operation.
  • Keep kitchen equipment and appliances clean.
  • Sweeping and mopping floors as needed and in the event of any items broken or spilled.
  • Take out the trash and clean garbage cans as needed.
  • Assist in unloading and storing deliveries
  • Assist Chef or Kitchen staff to prep items if requested
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimal work experience
  • Follow health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • Manual dexterity able to operate the dishwasher and any kitchen tools and utensils
  • Good time management
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
  • Able to stand or walk for 8 hour shifts (as needed) and lift at least 20 pounds

Provides friendly and efficient service to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs and performance standards. Performs all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and a quality work environment as directed by General Manager or Manager on Duty.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to work well-groomed, in clean and proper uniform and practices good personal hygiene.
  • Provides Exceptional Service to guests. Greets all guests in a courteous and respectable way.
  • Serve drinks to customers with proper sales tactics on upselling alcohol.
  • Serves high quality drinks and food with a smile and friendly attitude.
  • Ability to make drinks according to company standards. Drink knowledge
  • Must know proper counts when pouring alcohol in drinks. Such as Single or Tall.
  • Executes the service cycle and team responsibilities at all times.
  • Maintains sufficient knowledge of the drinks and food menu to execute suggestive selling with all guests.
  • Operates POS equipment pursuant to company policies.
  • Communicates with managers and co-workers regarding out of stock product/service, equipment, safety problems, etc.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have high level of mobility/flexibility.
  • Must be able to work under heavy stress/pressure during peak times.
  • Must be able to communicate with guests.
  • Must lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet.
  • Requires continual standing and walking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Prep Cook, you’ll do a lot of the ground work preparation for the amazing dishes we serve our guests. In this position, you’ll prepare menu items according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. You’ll also assist in performing all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and a quality work environment as directed by Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
  • Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
  • Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as prep cook
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
  • Very good physical condition and endurance

  • Stocks and rotates products on cooking line.
  • Has all knowledge of cooking stations, menu items and prep procedures to ensure correct portioning, quality, cooking time and performance standards.
  • Cooks and prepares menu items according to guest request within company standards and following food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Monitors and oversees food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce the incidence of risk factors known to cause food borne illness.
  • Communicates with the Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty for longer ticket times or if out of stock on a product

REQUIREMENTS

  • Continuous standing.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold.
  • Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and depth of 2 1/2 – 3 ft.
  • Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided.
  • Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times.
  • Lifting up to 20-40 pounds for food deliveries
